LWMA responds to PNQ regarding tender process and payments
The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Hon. Sebastien Pillay, raised a Private Notice Question (PNQ) yesterday, to ask the government what is being done to address several concerns raised by contractors working with the Landscape and Waste Management Agency.
The concerns included mistakes in the tender process, delays in payment, and the scale of work not matching what contractors are being paid.
In response, Vice-President Ahmed Afif, who appeared on behalf of the Minister for Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment, Flavien Joubert, who is currently on an overseas mission, explained that changes had been made to the payment system and that it was now working well.
