ISS hosts blood donation drive to help save lives

International School Seychelles (ISS) proudly hosted a blood donation drive on June 4, 2025, as part of its ongoing commitment to community service and public health awareness.

The event took place on campus from 9am to 12pm, drawing support from staff members and students.

Organised under the theme ‘Save Lives – Donate Blood Today!’, the drive aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donors and to make a meaningful contribution to the national blood supply. With the message ‘It takes all types’, the campaign emphasised the importance of participation from all eligible donors, regardless of blood type.

The blood donation process was smooth and professionally managed by trained healthcare personnel, and each donation took less than an hour – a small act that can make a life-saving difference.

“Community engagement is one of the pillars of our values at ISS,” said Elodie Vallantine, the school’s executive head. “We are proud to support such a vital cause and deeply grateful to those who volunteered to give the gift of life today.”

The event reflects ISS’s mission not only to educate but to inspire action and social responsibility among students and the community.
