Agro-processing and value addition training
Following a training in early June aimed at empowering local farmers and entrepreneurs, particularly women, through the use of new technologies in oyster mushroom production, a second group has been empowered with a similar training on technologies focusing on agro-processing and value addition to agricultural products.
The two-day training sessions, held at the Ceps conference room in Orion Mall, focused on assessing the incubation needs of entrepreneurs, identifying value addition opportunities in the agricultural value chain, and exploring innovative technologies. Participants gained hands-on knowledge in low-cost technologies, food safety standards, good hygiene practices, good manufacturing services, and product certification processes, critical tools for successful agro-entrepreneurship.
