Discovering Venn’s Town
Among the various places to visit for both Seychellois and tourists is Venn’s Town Mission Ruins, located in the Morne Seychellois National Park. Also known as Capucin, Venus Town, Mission Lodge, Mission Station, or simply Mission Ruins, it sits at an altitude of 450 metres and is just 6 kilometres from Victoria.
This historic site bears witness to one of the most significant chapters in the Seychelles’ history – the transition from slavery to freedom, and the dawn of a new era in education and identity.
