‘Be more active for our own health benefits’
As Kirsty Coventry started her eight-year spell at the helm of International Olympic Committee, becoming the first woman and the first African to be elected head of the Olympic ruling body, the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association yesterday held its annual, traditional Olympic Day Run, aimed at fostering unity and promote physical activity across all communities.
The annual event which took place at the Roche Caïman Fitness Trail – to also commemorate World Olympic Day – was officially launched by president of Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga) Alain Alcindor.
