The Seychelles Marine Spatial Plan was officially launched yesterday afternoon during a ceremony at the Eden Bleu Hotel.

Present were Vice-President Ahmed Afif; principal minister and Minister for Fisheries and Blue Economy, Jean-François Ferrari; Minister for Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment, Flavien Joubert; Minister for Internal Affairs, Errol Fonseka; and principal secretaries among other guests.

The overall goal of the government-led spatial planning initiative was to develop and implement an integrated marine plan to optimise the sustainable use and effective management of the Seychelles marine environment while ensuring the social, cultural, and economic well-being of its people.
