Looking back at past Arts Awards |05 July 2025

As the momentum is set for the upcoming Arts Awards 2025, let’s take a pause and in retrospect contemplate on our past achievers or awardees. It is noteworthy to remember that the first Arts Awards was held in the year 1991 and the second one in 2006. After a long pause it was revived in 2017. Then it followed with another one in 2019. This year’s Arts Awards will take place on July 26 at the ICCS in Victoria and will be broadcasted live on SBC. The aim of such awards is to acknowledge individuals who have made significant contribution and impact in their field of expertise, and here we are addressing all genres of different art forms from films to theatre production, traditional and cultural development champions.
