Jahdel Gabriel pips Oreddy to the finish line
Young Jahdel Gabriel is becoming a local cycling sensation after pipping Deveone Oreddy to the finish line of Sunday’s 84.1km road race in a sprint finish.
Defending the colours of Vélo Club de l’Ouest, Gabriel crossed the finish line in 2 hours 21 minutes 51 seconds (2h21:51) to collect his fifth win in a row, relegating Deveone Oreddy of Vélo Club de l’Ouest Academy to the runner-up position. Oreddy was also credited with the same time, averaging a speed of 35.573 kilometres per hour.
