Action-packed weekend at the track as CSA Trading SKNC heats up

Saturday and Sunday delivered another exciting weekend of karting action, showcasing the depth of local talent and setting the tone for what’s to come at the upcomingMid-Season Kart GP.

Academy Juniors and SKA Girls in training

Saturday belonged to the future stars of Seychelles karting as the Academy Juniors and SKA Girls took to the track to continue their driver development programme.

The session focused on mastering starting procedures andperfecting racing lines, under the guidance of Seychelles Karting Association (SKA) instructors.

The young drivers showed strong progression, discipline, and focus. With time trials expected to begin imminently, they were encouraged to apply all the techniques they have learned so far and continue building their confidence behind the wheel.

Sunday – CSA Trading SKNC round 6 (Senior categories)

Just two days after CSA Trading Pty Ltd was officially unveiled as the 2025 National Championship Partner, the CSA Trading Seychelles Karting National Championship (SKNC) returned to the track for round 6 – and it did not disappoint.

The sponsorship was officially presented during a small but meaningful ceremony held on Friday July 11 at CSA Trading’s office in Providence. Representing CSA Trading were Samantha Albert (sales manager), Tony Sauzier, Nigel Esparon, and Caleb Payet who all expressed their enthusiasm for contributing to youth development and motorsport in Seychelles.

The cheque was accepted by Liza Rene-Cosgrow, chairperson of the Seychelles Karting Association, accompanied by members of the SKA committee.

Race highlights – Round 6

In the 4T Clubman class, it was a commanding performance by Adam Ally, who drove a clean and consistent race to secure victory.

Marlon Talma held firm in second, showing great pace throughout the day.

The real excitement, however, came in the battle for third place as Keanu Teeroomooljeeand Lecxus Liu Chit Chonwent wheel-to-wheel lap after lap. The intense contest kept officials and spectators alike on edge, with Keanu ultimately clinching the final podium spot.

4T Extreme – Drama from the drop of the flag

As always, the 4T Extreme class brought the spectacle. From the very first corner of the final, fans witnessed a three-kart incident involving Jean-David Melanie, Eric Maillet, and Daryll Gabriel, who went three abreast into the aptly named ‘Drama Corner’.

Pole-sitter Terence Anderson got off to a strong start and led early, but pressure from Mitra Labrosse and Cedric Ah-Time was relentless. An unfortunate moment saw Terence lose the lead and fall to the back of the pack, opening the door for Mitra to take control of the race, with Cedric hot on his heels. Further back, Jhohan Cadeau battled mid-pack, adding to the intensity of the race.

Mid-Season GP on the horizon

This weekend marked the penultimate round before the highly anticipated Mid-Season Kart GP, set for Sunday July 27, 2025. Drivers will compete in qualifying heats on July 19 and 20, with the final race grids to be decided just before race day.

With five competitive classes taking part, the Kart GP promises to be a highlight of the season before the SKA takes a short mid-season break ahead of the final leg of the 2025 racing calendar.

The Seychelles Karting Association once again extends its sincere thanks to CSA Trading and its team – Samantha Albert, Tony Sauzier, Nigel Esparon, and Caleb Payet – for their dedication to grassroots sport and for helping fuel the dreams of young Seychellois racers.

Stay tuned as the CSA Trading SKNC continues to deliver speed, excitement, and emerging talent from across Seychelles!
