The Independent School welcomed a delegation from China on Wednesday July, 9. The school has paired up with a sister school in China, signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see an exchange of ideas and reciprocal visits by students and teachers.
The special guests, including the Minister for Education, Dr Justin Valentin; secretary Wang Xiaohui of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress; the Chinese ambassador to Seychelles, Ambassador Lin Nan; and distinguished members of the delegation from Sichuan Province and Independent School boards, were welcomed at the Union Vale campus by student representatives and staff waving the flags of both China and Seychelles.
The visitors were shown around the school grounds, crossing the bridge to the Ile du Port campus and the newly built multi-purpose sports complex.
