The Praslin fire station, which was officially opened on July 25, 2015, marked its 10th anniversary in a special ceremony held yesterday.

Gracing the event were the elected member of the National Assembly for Baie Sainte Anne, Churchill Gill; proportionally elected member for Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) Doyace Porice; chief fire officer Tally Domingue; deputy chief fire officer Jones Madeleine; assistant divisional officer Peter Cherry; station officer Daniel Antoine; other firefighters and sponsors.

In her address, Ms Domingue said the station was opened as part of Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency’s (SFRSA) decentralisation programme in accordance with its strategic plan.

“For a decade, this station has stood as a beacon of safety, dedication and service to the Praslin community,” she said.

“We applaud the vision and unwavering dedication of the past SFRSA management who was instrumental in establishing the Praslin fire station.”
