Eight bronze medals for Seychelles on day one
Team Seychelles yesterday collected eight bronze medals during the first day of competition, counting for the 13th Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l'Océan Indien (CJSOI) Games, held at the Roche Caïman Omni-Sports Gymnasium.
Male weightlifter Guilliano Pierre became the first local medallist of the 13th Games, winning three bronze medals in the 55kg category, after snatching 70kg, before lifting 89kg in clean and jerk for a total of 159kg.
