7 private homes destroyed by fire from January to mid-August 2025
From January 2025 to mid- August 2025, the Seychelles Fire & Rescue Services Agency attended to a total of 23 structural fires, with the majority occurring in private dwellings except for two incidents, which occurred in a construction storage area and a carpentry workshop.
In these incidents, seven of the private dwellings were destroyed, whereas the remaining ones were partly damaged. As for the construction storage area, it was destroyed by fire.
