Duke of Edinburgh Seychelles holds three-day training

Local award leaders of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award are following a three-day training to acquire the necessary skills to use the Online Record Book effectively.

The workshop targeting volunteers of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Seychelles (DofE Seychelles), within the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) started yesterday morning at Plaisance secondary school. The National Director of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Seychelles, Gerard Pierre, explained that the digital platform will facilitate volunteers’ work, which was being done manually. While the programme currently has over 70 volunteers, only 20 with strong IT skills were chosen for the training, said Mr Pierre.
