74 voters cast their vote at North East Point Home for the Elderly
A total of 74 voters out of 88 residents of the North East Point Home for the Elderly upheld their right and duty to vote in the general elections, at a special polling station established at the facility yesterday morning.
The special voting station, which opened at 7am as prescribed by law, was set up specifically to cater for the elderly and people living with disabilities, ensuring that they too could comfortably and fairly take part in the electoral process. In addition, arrangements were made to transport the elderly and people with disabilities to and from their rooms, allowing them to participate in the voting process without difficulty or delay.
