Rockfall zone in Beolière a ‘Potential Disaster Area’ |30 September 2025

The Disaster Risk Management Division has announced that following the rockfall incident of September 15, 2025 at Beolière, Port Glaud, the affected zone has been formally declared a Potential Disaster Areaunder the Disaster Risk Management Act, 2014.
According to the Disaster Risk Management Division (DRMD), two days of intensive technical assessments determined that the rockfall had originated from a single piece of rock, which broke apart into three sections upon impact.
