Additional desalination plant to boost water supply on Praslin

Persistent dry weather has pushed Praslin’s water situation to a critical stage, with 95 percent of supply now coming from desalination and only 5 percent from rivers. If dry conditions continue, the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) will soon rely entirely on desalination, said the company in a press release issued on Saturday.
