“Today, we join the global community in commemorating the 45th observance of World Food Day, a moment that unites humanity around one of our most fundamental needs – food. This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as it coincides with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations, an institution that has, for eight decades, led international efforts to defeat hunger, enhance food security, and promote sustainable agricultural development across the world.
