Children’s messages are sealed in time capsule

 A time capsule, containing messages from children representing every school in Seychelles, under the theme ‘Listen to Children: My Day, My Rights’, was sealed and buried in the grounds at the National Council for Children, Bel Eau on Thursday, to commemorate this year’s Universal Children’s Day on November 21.

The National Council for Children (NCC) said this symbolic gesture, which preserves children’s voices, hopes, and reflections, is to be opened in five years. The event was attended by the First Lady, Veronique Herminie, the ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Francesca Azais, and the British High Commissioner Jeff Glekin, among other guests.
