TRASS plants hope across Praslin, one tree at a time   |29 November 2025

For more than 15 years, a quiet but powerful environmental movement has been taking place on Praslin. The Terrestrial Restoration Action Society of Seychelles (TRASS), a not-for-profit organisation, has been working to bring life back to areas of the island that were badly damaged by forest fires and erosion. Through tree planting, community work and strong partnerships, TRASS has helped to transform once-bare mountainsides into greener, healthier ecosystems.
