Seychellois long-distance runner Joel Melanie is concluding his 2025 campaign with a special 10km run on Sunday, in memory of his late mother, Regina Melanie, who would have celebrated her 93rd birthday.

His journey exemplifies how his campaigns have grown from supporting local charities to making a broader, global impact, reflecting his vision for 2026.

The event will bring together family members and members of her senior citizens’ group, honouring her lifelong commitment to community engagement.

Alongside the run, fitness activities will be held at the Anse Royale community centre, offering a day of physical activity and celebration of community spirit.
