Human Rights Commission hosts sensitisation workshop for police and prison officers |11 December 2025

The Seychelles Human Rights Commission (SHRC) held a sensitisation workshop for officers of the Seychelles Police Force and the Seychelles Prison Service.

The workshop, held on Friday last week, forms part of Human Rights Week 2025 and focuses on this year’s theme, ‘Safeguarding Human Dignity — the right of every citizen, the duty of every institution’.

The Commission said the session is an important step in strengthening understanding of human rights obligations and improving daily practices in detention and law enforcement settings, and reinforcing the shared responsibility of officers who work directly with people deprived of their liberty.
