Seychelles schools honoured for excellence in sustainability |11 December 2025

Baie Ste Anne primary and Mont Fleuri secondary schools are the outstanding winners in their respective category for this year’s eco-school programme organised by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy and Natural Resources.
In the primary category, Beau Vallon and Baie Lazare came in second and third positions respectively, while in the secondary category, Belonie was placed second followed by Independent School in third place. They were rewarded in a ceremony held yesterday morning at the SITE auditorium, Mont Fleuri.
In his opening remarks, the Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, David Pierre, said the event marks an important milestone for all institutions that continue to strive toward greater sustainability in their operations.
