The first phase of the Golden Mile footpath has been completed. The second phase will start once funding is approved
Second phase of Golden Mile footpath dependent on 2026 budget
The Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA) plans to continue the Golden Mile footpath project along the Beau Vallon coastal road, subject to the 2026 budget allocation.
This was confirmed by SLTA engineer Janice Ladouceur during a media interview last week. She explained that the footpath, which began last year near Baobab Restaurant, is designed to improve pedestrian safety along the stretch of road towards Kot Mike’s Boutique at Mare Anglaise, where space is limited.
