President Herminie arrives in India on official state visit

President Patrick Herminie arrived in India on official state visit yesterday morning, at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.

President Herminie arrived at Chennai International Airport in the early hours, accompanied by the First Lady, Veronique Herminie.

Upon arrival, the President and First Lady were warmly received by Minister M. Mathiventhan, members of the diplomatic corps, including the high commissioner of India to Seychelles, Rohit Rathish, and the high commissioner of the Republic of Seychelles to India, Lalatiana Accouche. The reception underscored the strong and enduring partnership between Seychelles and India.
