Curieuse goes solar: Island powers ahead

Curieuse Island is taking a bold step toward sustainability as preparatory works begin for the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems to power Baie Laraie and Anse José.

The solar energy systems, donated by the Chinese embassy in Seychelles, will provide clean, renewable energy to the Curieuse Marine Park. Once operational, the project will reduce reliance on diesel generators while strengthening environmental management and operational resilience.
