Individuals and businesses in Seychelles are joining a global social media trend that has seen users generate personalised cartoon caricatures of themselves using ChatGPT, a trend that is rapidly spreading across platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

The trend, which originated in the United States earlier this month, involves users uploading a photograph and prompting the artificial intelligence tool to create a humorous, exaggerated illustration based on their appearance, profession and personal traits. In Seychelles, the results have been widely shared online, often featuring tropical backdrops, marine imagery and references to island life.
