National Assembly approves R3.97 billion for government services

The National Assembly has authorised the withdrawal of R3,967,207,015.00 from the Consolidated Fund to finance government services until April 30, 2026.

The motion, tabled by the leader of government business, Hon. Sylvanne Lemiel, was approved yesterday with 17 members of the United Seychelles (US) party voting in favour, while 14 members of the Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) party abstained. Hon. Churchill Gill, elected member for Baie Ste Anne, Praslin, seconded the motion.
