Selection committee ‘washes its hands’
The chairperson of the Sports Awards of the Year 2025 selection committee, Steve Hoareau, has clarified that the committee has no authority to interfere with nominations submitted by local sporting governing bodies, even in cases where irregularities are observed.
Mr Hoareau made the statement in relation to the nomination submitted by the Seychelles Aquatics Federation (SAF), along with another federation, namely the Seychelles Boxing Federation (SBF).
