Benefits of plant-based foods
When we advocate for more plant-based foods we are by no means telling you not to eat any animal products. We do however want to encourage you to eat more plant foods while reducing your intake of animal sources. You might be wondering why that is important.
Quite simply, plant sources offer a range of nutrients and health benefits that is different from what we get from animal sources. This ranges, but is not limited to, improvement in your gut health, in particular the proliferation of gut microbiome and keeping colon cells healthy; heart health where it reduces inflammation and reduces the overall risk of cardiovascular disease; and even in brain health for improved memory and a range of brain cell functions, alongside many other health benefits.
