National Assembly explores new framework for institutional autonomy

The National Assembly convened a seminar on Friday, February 20, to deliberate on the National Assembly Administration Bill.

The proposed legislation aims to reinforce the Assembly’s institutional framework by formalising its administrative and financial autonomy. The current draft consolidates work from two earlier versions, with the objective of affirming the Assembly’s independence as the legislative arm of government.
