Government issues travel advisory for Seychellois travelling to the Middle East region
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora is advising Seychellois citizens that, in view of the current security situation and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, all non-essential travel to the following countries is strongly discouraged: Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen.
Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution and to carefully assess the risks associated with travel to these conflict-affected areas.
The ministry further wishes to inform the public that Seychellois citizens who nevertheless choose to travel to these destinations do so at their own risk. In such circumstances, the government of Seychelles may not be in a position to provide consular assistance or facilitate repatriation should the security situation deteriorate.
Seychellois citizens currently residing in or travelling within these areas are strongly encouraged to remain vigilant, follow the advice of local authorities, and maintain contact with the nearest Seychelles diplomatic mission or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora.
The government of the Republic of Seychelles remains committed to the safety and well-being of all Seychellois nationals abroad.
The ministry will continue to monitor developments closely and will provide updates should the situation warrant further advisories
