Seychellois mountaineer conquers three peaks in Africa and gains vital rescue training |14 March 2026

Seychellois female mountaineer, Catherine Rose, has reached new heights after successfully climbing three major peaks in the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda earlier this year.

Mrs Rose, a Seychellois climber who currently lives in Kenya, completed the demanding expedition in February 2026. In just six days, she climbed Alexandra Peak (5092 metres), Mount Speke (4890 metres) and Cheptegei Peak (4907 metres).
