Cannabis parcel intercepted in Mauritius en route to Seychelles |17 March 2026

• Two men detained
Two men have been remanded in police custody for 14 days after a parcel containing suspected cannabis was intercepted in Mauritius while in transit to Seychelles.
According to a communiqué from the Seychelles Police Force, a 63-year-old British national visiting Seychelles and a 30-year-old Seychellois man who owns a tourism establishment in Port Glaud appeared before the Supreme Court of Seychelles yesterday. They were remanded for two weeks as investigations continue.
