National Assembly approves appointment of Godfra Hermitte as police commissioner
A motion to approve the appointment of a new Commissioner of Police was passed in the National Assembly of Seychelles yesterday afternoon, following a detailed debate and questioning of the nominee.
The motion was presented by Sylvanne Lemiel, leader of government business, in accordance with Article 160 (1) of the Constitution. It sought the assembly’s approval of President’s nominee, Henry Godfra Hermitte, for the post of Commissioner of Police.
