Can Seychelles turn caution into opportunity on the blockchain stage?

Seychelles has long adopted a careful approach to emerging technologies, particularly in the realm of virtual assets and blockchain. While many jurisdictions rushed to embrace crypto with light regulation, the archipelago chose prudence.

The Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) Act of 2024, followed by a firm regulatory tightening throughout 2025, made it clear that Seychelles would not serve as a simple licence of convenience.
