Officers describe hostage drama and brutal beatings

The Commission of Inquiry into the Montagne Posée prison incident of December 5–6, 2024, heard testimony yesterday from Sergeant Guy Elisabeth during its first deliberation session in the morning, followed by Inspector Ivan Nicolas in the afternoon.

Sergeant Elisabeth, a 14-year veteran of the prison services currently stationed at the Remand Centre, was based at Montagne Posée during the incident. He confirmed that he was present only on December 5, marking the fourth prison riot he has experienced.
