‘Starlink incorporated locally, services imminent’ – VP Pillay
Starlink has been incorporated as a local company in Seychelles and is now in the final stages of its licensing process, Vice-President Sebastien Pillay told the National Assembly on Tuesday morning.
He was responding to an urgent question on the satellite internet provider’s planned entry into the local market, raised by Georges Romain, Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) member for Anse Etoile. Hon. Romain asked whether studies had been conducted on Starlink’s potential impact on Seychelles’ economy and telecommunications sector, and whether the National Assembly would have access to them.
