New civic movement empowers Seychellois youth   |30 May 2026

Standpoint Seychelles, a new civic platform dedicated to educating, informing, and empowering the next generation of voters, was officially launched on Wednesday evening, May 27, 2026, at Hebrews Café, Link Building, Ile du Port.

The non-profit initiative was founded by Apostle Jude Fred and is led by a diverse youth committee representing different backgrounds, ideologies, and skill sets. The leadership team includes chairman Carlos Marianne, vice-chairperson Stevania Savy, secretary general Shamla Mathiot, treasurer Sharon Nolin, and members Richard Marie, Stan Albest, Shaznay Esparon, Avrina Esparon, and Sheerani Marguerite, who also form part of the media team.
