By Sunny Esparon

Marcelin Global Holdings has officially launched its first locally branded product, the MGH Core laptop, designed with single mothers and students in mind.

The announcement was made yesterday morning at the House of Francis, Ile Perseverance, by founder and director Danio Marcelin, joined by business partner and shareholder Raj Kowlessur.

The laptop comes in 14.7” and 15” models, equipped with 8GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a Celeron processor (upgradeable upon request). Prices start at R3,900, with a one-year warranty and screen protectors available. Students under the government laptop scheme will pay only R200, as 80% of the cost is covered by the programme. Production began four months ago, with the launch delayed by two months to ensure quality. Early sales have already generated positive feedback.
