Belonie students connect with Russian animation heritage

Belonie secondary school hosted a special screening of ‘The Mystery of the Third Planet’ to mark the anniversary of the renowned Soyuzmultfilm Animation Studio. Organised by the African Initiative news agency and the Russian embassy, the event brought together students from three classes.

Welcoming the guests, head teacher Medge Nancy said: “We are delighted to welcome representatives of the Russian embassy to our school. The students were so excited to watch Russian cartoons that we expanded the programme to three screenings.”
