University of Seychelles council members appointed

The Office of the President announced the appointment of members of the council of the University of Seychelles (UniSey), for a period of 3 years, effective June 1, 2026.

The members are: Frank Ally, Christian Cafrine, Benjamin Choppy, Angelique Pouponneau, Marie-Paul Samson and Dr Conrad Shamlaye.

The council is chaired by Dr Bernard Valentin who was appointed on March 24, 2026.

The university council serves as the highest governing body of UniSey, providing strategic leadership, oversight, and accountability for its overall development and performance.
