Film premiere marks five years of the D’Arros experience in Seychelles

The Save Our Seas Foundation’s Lekol Zil Sesel (Island School Seychelles), in collaboration with the Save Our Seas Foundation (SOSF) Seychelles D’Arros Research Centre, hosted a film screening on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Dockland Auditorium, Victoria, to mark five years of the D’Arros Experience.

Originally known as Academy by the Sea, the programme ran from 2013 to 2014 and reached 32 students. After a period of inactivity, it was revived and reimagined in 2022 as the D’Arros Experience. Through field activities, outdoor learning, and interactive laboratory sessions, and in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the programme encourages students to deepen their understanding of Seychelles’ natural environment and foster a lasting commitment to its protection.
