President Herminie welcomes Ayra Starr ahead of her jubilee performance

The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, yesterday welcomed Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr during a courtesy call ahead of her highly anticipated performance for Seychelles’ 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

Born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, Ayra Starr is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter from Lagos, Nigeria. Known for her distinctive fusion of Afrobeats, Afropop, R&B, and soul, she has risen to global fame with hits such as Rush, Bloody Samaritan, and Away.
