Byenveni Modi: Seychelles welcomes India’s Prime Minister again
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a State Visit to the Republic of Seychelles from June 27-29, 2026. He visits Seychelles as President Patrick Herminie’s Guest of Honour at the historic 50th Anniversary of Independence.
This will be PM Modi’s second visit to Seychelles. He first visited in March 2015 as part of his Indian Ocean tour which included Mauritius and Sri Lanka. The upcoming State Visit is standalone – rare for PM Modi – who is known to keep a punishing schedule at home and abroad, and visits multiple countries on a single foreign tour. The timing of PM Modi’s visit is also opportune given that India and Seychelles mark 50 years of diplomatic relations on June 29, 2026.
