Seychelles to host UN Africa tourism meet

Seychelles is preparing to welcome tourism leaders from across the continent as it hosts the 69th UN Tourism Regional Commission for Africa, a major international event expected to bring together representatives from 25 African countries.
Ahead of the commission, UN Tourism secretary general Shaikha Al Nowais paid a courtesy call on President Patrick Herminie on yesterday afternoon.
Speaking to the media, Ms Al Nowais shared insights from her discussion with the President. Among the key topics was the upcoming 69th Regional Commission, with both parties emphasising its importance for Seychelles and the wider African region. “We also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Seychelles and UN Tourism, as well as future tourism development initiatives,” she noted.
