Adeline and Hoareau maintain unbeaten run as Vel and Vidot split results
Angelique Adeline and Dania Hoareau continued their impressive start to the Confédération Africaine de Volleyball Zone 7 Beach Volleyball Tour (Stop 1), extending their unbeaten run with a second consecutive victory yesterday to emerge as one of the early favourites for the women's title.
Competing on home sand at the Paradise Beach Soccer Arena, the Seychellois duo followed up their opening day 2-0 (21-10, 21-14) victory over Madagascar's Rose de Lima Alfred and Melissa Rambony with another commanding straight-sets win, defeating compatriots Lutra Elizabeth and Vanita Rose 21-17, 21-5.
With two victories from as many matches and without dropping a set, Adeline and Hoareau have put themselves in a strong position as the tournament heads into its decisive stages.
The all-Seychellois encounter also highlighted the growing depth of local women's beach volleyball, with both pairs representing the host nation in a competition featuring teams from Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius and the Comoros.
