The Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy & Natural Resources (MECENR) and the Ministry of Education & Natural Resource Development (MENRD) have received two new educational resource materials – a Teacher Resource Book and a Student Book on Plastic Waste.
These materials aim to strengthen environmental education and raise awareness among young people about reducing plastic pollution and promoting sustainable waste management.
The collection was presented by Dr Rolph Payet, executive secretary of the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions secretariat of the United Nations, to Minister Marie-May Jeremie (Environment, Climate, Energy & Natural Resources) and Minister David Pierre (Education & Natural Resource Development).
