Seychelles demonstrates commitment to sustainable tourism

As part of the 69th meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for Africa (CAF), UN tourism secretary general Shaikha Al Nuwais spent Saturday morning exploring initiatives that highlight Seychelles’ commitment to sustainable tourism, environmental conservation, and youth development.

Her first stop was the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) at La Misère, where she was welcomed by the management team before engaging with students and staff. Learners showcased their talents through presentations that emphasised the academy’s role in preparing the next generation of tourism and hospitality professionals.
