Absa and SPGA unite for marine restoration
Staff from Absa Seychelles and the Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA) joined forces on Saturday July 4, 2026 for a meaningful day of coral restoration in the St Anne Marine Park.
Together, the team successfully planted 1,220 coral fragments, carefully attached to 12 recycled local fish traps (100 pieces per trap). These metal traps, confiscated from illegal fishing or abandoned in marine parks, were redesigned in 3D structures to serve as coral nurseries.
